PTA Chair: Dennis Weeks

Dennis is a Wanstead resident, who has lived in the area for over 30 years. He has two children at the School, in Years 7 and 10.

A retired Metropolitan Police detective, Dennis now owns and runs a local building company. In his spare time he also volunteers with Neighbourhood Watch panels for Redbridge and boards a milk float each Christmas to play Santa around the streets of Wanstead. Dennis says: 'We’ve got great plans focusing on several big projects,' - our objective is to raise funds and make a significant difference to the school and in turn our children. We will need your help to make these plans happen, please keep your eyes peeled as we look to announce our first initiatives in the Autumn term.

PTA Secretary: Louise Russell

Louise has also lived in Wanstead for more than 30 years, and also has two children at the High School. She works in education and has had various volunteer roles supporting young people and their families. Louise was involved in PTA and school events when her children were at primary school and is keen to continue this work to build links between the school and local community.

PTA Treasurer: Chris Carr

Originally from Leytonstone, Chris gained his degree in furniture and product design. His colourful CV spans winter sports professional, marketing, public relations, business development, and now chief financial officer for a leading communications agency. Chris has two children at Wanstead High in years 9 and 13.

PTA Vice Chair: Mary Richardson

Mary Richardson has worked in a variety of journalism and marketing roles from head of communications at a national charity to editor on the national curriculum. She has recently returned to formal employment after a career break to raise her two children, who are now at Wanstead High. She was chair of Wanstead Church School PTA, and recently gained a master’s degree in fine art.
