This week is Anti-Bullying Week and this year's theme is 'Choose Respect'. Respect is also one of our Wanstead High Character Virtues, and pupils will receive assemblies this week to build upon the work they have already completed in this area. We continue to encourage our school community to 'Talk to Us' so we can address any concerns quickly and effectively. #chooserespect #talktous

As a pupil pointed out, 'if you name your tutor groups after birds, then you invite the birds in!' Thanks to the calm and caring approach from all pupils after our visitor to the Hall today. We have a robust plan to rescue the magpie by tomorrow morning at the latest and, don't worry, we are not superstitious.....

I love Wanstead High School because...

Daniel - Year 10, only 14 years old, has gained a place in the National Youth Orchestra. This is a remarkable achievement and speaks volumes about his talent and dedication to music. Daniel will be playing the tuba at the Proms, which will provide him with invaluable experience and exposure to professional musicians and conductors. This is an incredible opportunity for him to grow as a musician and make connections in the music community. We all hope he enjoys every moment of this exciting journey. Well done!
